• Locally in your browser: Your user preferences and temporary authentication state are stored locally using the Chrome Storage API.
• On our servers: User account information (if you create an account) including user preferences, subscription status, and anonymized video watch history (watch duration and whether the configured threshold was reached — no video identifiers, titles, or URLs are stored).
• Third-party services: Payment processing data is handled securely by our payment provider (Paddle). Authentication is handled via Google OAuth or our server.

Retention Period:

• We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Extension services.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "User Rights"). We will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe, retaining only necessary transaction records for legal and accounting purposes.

2. Browser Permissions

The Extension requires specific permissions to function:

• "storage": Used to save your settings and authentication state locally on your device.
• "identity": Used to authenticate you if you choose to sign in with Google or sync your pro status.
• "host_permissions" (YouTube): Used to detect when you are visiting YouTube.com to track time spent and apply your self-imposed limits. We measure watch duration on these pages but do not store or transmit any video identifiers, titles, or URLs. We do not transmit your watching history to third-party advertisers.

3. User Rights

As a user, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Note that we may retain specific payment records as required by tax law.
• Withdraw Consent: You may uninstall the Extension and revoke permissions at any time.
• Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
